
San Francisco Green Drinks (SFGD) invites the Bay Area green community to Green Generations, our 2nd annual benefit event for established organizations that provide environmental education to under-served children.

When: Tuesday, August 3, 2010. 5:30pm – 9:30pm
Where: 111 Minna Gallery, San Francisco
Who: Anyone who wants to connect, have fun, and support the future of our green community!
What: The most meaningful party of the summer!
- Bike Valet from 5 to 10pm
- Live DJ set by Below Zero
- Savory organic and local appetizers, green drink specials, bike-powered smoothies
- Silent auction: restaurant certificates, nature vacations, gift packages, etc
- Networking opportunities, and much more!
Why: “One of the greatest contributions toward ensuring a green future is the support of eco-education, especially for our youth,” said Missi Hirt, Founder of Green Generations. “This special event will unite the green community in the common goal of connecting our youth with the wonder and importance of their natural world.”
Non-profit beneficiaries will be on-hand to discuss volunteer opportunities and provide information about the inspiring work they are doing:
- SF Nature Education focuses on providing educational enrichment to students from under-served communities through its school program Science and Nature for Under-served Youth.
- Pie Ranch Youth Education connects rural and urban youth to sustainable farming and the source of their food.
- Exploring New Horizons Outdoor School specializes in environmental education and is dedicated to enriching the lives of students through outdoor education.
Cost: Minimum suggested donation $15. All proceeds donated!
