San Francisco Green Drinks
December 1st
Holiday Bash and Benefit

Ho Ho Ho Green Drinkers!

Please join us next Tuesday, December 1st for San Francisco Green Drinks. Celebrate the spirit of the holidays with your environmental community!

This holiday season we will be supporting GRID Alternatives’ mission to outfit low-income families with solar electric systems. Our goal is to raise $5,000 and group of inspired volunteers so we can purchase AND install a set of solar panels on a local low-income home in San Francisco!

This holiday party and fundraiser is a chance for the extensive Bay Area Green community to come together, celebrate our community, and support environmentally responsible technologies to create an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable future.

Come show your support and party with a purpose!

December Sponsors Institute at the Golden Gate and Green Zebra

Institute at the Golden Gate

The Institute at the Golden Gate advances environmental preservation and global sustainability by facilitating cross-sector dialogue and collaboration, encouraging new partnerships, and promoting action. The Institute helps forge environmental solutions by gathering policy makers, scientists, youth activists, and business leaders in an exceptional and inspirational setting.

The Institute is a program of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the nonprofit partner for the Golden Gate National Parks, in partnership with the National Park Service. In keeping with the conservation ethic that guided Fort Baker’s environmentally conscious revitalization, a new environmental institute was founded on site. Working alongside Cavallo Point – the Lodge at the Golden Gate, the Institute convenes and collaborates with nonprofit, for-profit and government groups to broker long-term relationships, focused on driving environmental change in an exceptional and inspirational setting at Fort Baker. A special Institute rate is available to qualifying organizations for meeting space and overnight accommodations.

Green Zebra

Green Zebra makes it fun and easy to explore the best of sustainable living in San Francisco. The 2010 Green Zebra guide is an award-winning annual publication that acts as a directory of environmentally conscious and community oriented local businesses. The guide includes more than 300 exclusive offers worth thousands of dollars in savings at organic restaurants and markets, eco-friendly retailers, spas, Yoga and Pilates studios, bookstores, bike shops, museums and more. Green Zebra passes present over $7,500 in total savings valid through December 2010, and it’s easy to earn back the guide’s $25 purchase price by redeeming just one or two offers. The 2010 Green Zebra guide also serves as a handy reference tool with articles that present practical tips for embracing a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle– simple action steps you can take today to ensure a greener tomorrow. It makes an affordable corporate gift and easy no-risk fundraising tool that is aligned with your green values.
